LSBF Students from London, Manchester and Birmingham campuses had the outstanding opportunity to play a football match at Anfield, the world famous stadium and home of Liverpool Football Club. With the money raised by this sport event, the recently established LSBF HOPE charitable foundation aims to contribute to building an education centre for underprivileged students in the North African region.
The teams playing at Anfield were the winners of a joined series of fundraising regional qualifying matches. These LSBF students had the chance to experience the Liverpool Football club experience: not only did they play on the famous turf but they also met professional coaches, changed in the official changing rooms and touched the “this is Anfield” sign before the match started.
Although the LSBF Manchester team beat the LSBF London team by 2-0 and became the winners of the tournament, all finalists received medals and certificates as a reminder of this unique experience on the Liverpool Football club’s turf.
Michael Yates, Liverpool FC’s International Football Academy states that this sport event was a great success.
LSBF Focus on social responsibility
London School of Business & Finance awarded over two £ million in scholarships in order to help talented and young people to further their education, despite financial background.
“Having the skills and access to education increases people’s chances of success and gives them the tools to improve their lives. At LSBF we take our social responsibility very seriously and we always try to work alongside communities and charities to make the difference in the lives of the people who will be the world’s future leaders”, concluded Nicola Schaefer.
